Parent Education

We provide a wide range of parenting classes. All sessions are 2 hours unless stated otherwise. Bookings essential.

Currently scheduled classes
Baby and You - 4 sessions. Covers settling into parenthood after your baby's birth, covering sleeping and feeding issues, play and development, and whatever else the group needs assistance with.
Cost: $60.00 members, $75.00 non-members. Prepayment required.
Munching - 1 session lasting 2 hours. Covers introduction of solids (munching) for 6-12 month olds. Includes "Baby Food and Beyond" recipe book.
Cost: $20 members, $30 non-members. Prepayment required.
Toilet Training - one 2 hour session, practical tips for relieving the stress of this challenging time...
Cost: $20 members, $30 non-members. Prepayment required.
CPR and Child Health - 2 sessions each lasting 2 hours. CPR course will teach you how to save a baby's or a child's life with CPR. Child Health session covers common illnesses for 0-5 years, first aid kit contents, and the basic first aid knowledge to help care for your child's health.
Cost: $20.00 members, $40 non-members
Sleep - one 2 hour session. Sleep is everything! Useful tips for parents of children who have unsettled sleep, including developmental issues, establishing realistic routines, and how much sleep they need.
Cost: $20 members, $30 non-members. Prepayment required.

Moving & Munching - 2 sessions each lasting 2 hours. Covers physical development (moving) and introduction of solids (munching) for 4-12 month olds. Includes Watties "Baby Food and Beyond" recipe book.
Cost: $25.00 members, $35 non-members. Prepayment required.
Baby Sign Workshop - one 2.5 hour session with a coffee break, Sign Language for Hearing Babies, learn how signing accelerates Language Development, when to start signing, how signing is implemented and how to recognise when your baby has grasped the concept.
Childcare Options - meet various providers and learn about the differences in types of care and philosophy.
Raising Girls/Raising Boys - understanding what makes little girls or boys unique and raising them accordingly.
