Baby and You

The first few weeks with a new baby bring with them so many questions - and this can sometimes challenge your ability to enjoy parenthood!

Our Baby & You course provides timely practical information, in a casual and relaxed setting, and gives you the opportunity to have all your questions answered...

• How can I tell when my baby is tired? How can I help them get to sleep?
• Do I have enough milk? My baby always seems hungry!
• What support is out there for me?
• What is "normal" in terms of development, and how can play encourage it?
• What milestones should my baby be meeting, and when?
• How do I know if my baby is sick?
• Where can I get a quiet coffee and feed my baby at the same time?
• What can I say to my mother's "so helpful" advice?

The course runs for 4 weeks, from 10am to midday on a Friday. There is a change table for your baby, morning tea for you, and plenty of room to park your buggy or capsule. You are also welcome to bring other family members with you if you wish.

Delivered in 4 sessions, each lasting 2 hours.
Limited to 12 participants

Yes! Do bring your baby! The ideal baby's age for this course is 0 to 4 months, but please don't shy away if your little wonder is older!

All classes held at the Home of Compassion, Island Bay (the same venue as childbirth education classes)

Cost Notice: $60.00 members of Parents Centre, $75.00 non-members. Prepayment required.The price is per family, Dads, Partners and Grandparents are most welcome to join!
